Climablock vs Traditional

From a comparison between the Climablock construction system and traditional technologies, a series of advantages emerge that make the use of the Climablock system more functional, effective, and integrated.

What are the main differences?

If we consider a traditional wall composed of block partition and/or brick masonry with an outer layer and a counterpoint inside, the stratigraphy described would include three distinct processes, which would necessarily be carried out in three different phases. In the case of using ClimateBlock, a system made up of EPS insulating panels, we consolidate these three steps into one: once the wall is assembled and the rebar is placed, concrete is poured, thereby obtaining a reinforced concrete wall reinforced with integrated insulation at the highest levels. This allows for faster execution and considerable economic savings.

Three operations in one

With a single operation, the installation of the Tlubblock formwork creates the positioning and interlocking of the blocks, the placement of iron reinforcement, and the installation of boxes (or closure elements) for holes and windows – all in one solution.

Additionally, the application and bracing device provided by the Company will allow obtaining insulated walls, completely plumb and flat, ready to receive the exterior finish (sprayed mortar) and interior finish (plasterboard), upon pouring concrete.

In particular, since the Climablock formwork is equipped with visible supports/ribs placed on the internal surface of the wall, the coating can be applied directly, such as with plasterboard. The exterior finish will involve applying any type of coating directly onto the EPS, such as traditional smooth render or exposed facade cladding and curtain walls.

The advantages of “dry” constructions

The implementation operations of the ClimateBlock system are characterized as dry constructions: the care of carpentry, the interlocking of elements, cutting and configuration, and the resolution of construction nodes are carried out according to established and tested methods based on the on-site experience of the Company. They can rely on appropriate and precise instructions contained in the ClimateBlock construction system installation manual.

In comparison to creating reinforced concrete walls using prefabricated panel systems, using ClimateBlock (Light Cash Atage) allows on-site operation without the need for special equipment to move plate blocks and fill walls. It’s fast, lightweight, practical, and safe.

For the same thermal performance, a wall built with this innovative system enables the creation of a reinforced wall with reduced thickness compared to traditional techniques (e.g., a wall consisting of plaster, internal counterpoint, brick, insulation, and external cladding). All of this is achieved in a single step, ensuring elimination of thermal bridges, speed, safety, and significant time and cost savings in project delivery.

Installing electrical and plumbing elements is simple and quick, without the need for grinders or cutting discs. EPS is easily cut with a simple hot saw, and various installations are subsequently covered by plasterboard that is screwed directly without requiring channels or studs for the back lining, making this operation easy and fast.

conclusion

In conclusion, choosing the Climablock construction system over a traditional system results in a construction process characterized by high energy efficiency, earthquake-resistant walls with integrated reinforced concrete structure, reduced construction times, lower costs, and extremely easy installation. Additionally, it offers the advantage of requiring minimal maintenance over time.
